But there’s more to this event than just running—it’s a Jeep meetup unlike anything you’ve ever seen. Enjoy a Jeep ride on the beach or, if you’re a Jeep owner, join a Jeep caravan and cruise along the coast. Get Jeep tips in how-to workshops and sand driving clinics, and if you dare, try navigating the infamous Jeep obstacle course called the PiT.
Día de Muertos: A Celebration of Life at Las Palomas
November 1, 2025
Each year, Las Palomas celebrates Día de Muertos with colorful ofrendas, awe-inspiring costumes, traditional music and dance, and a grand parade that includes over 300 participants. Come see our monumental sculptures, Alfonsina and Poseidon—each more than 12 meters tall. Inspired by Mexican folk art, these sculptures preside over the festivities: symbolizing the importance of memory in the journey between life and death. Día de Muertos is a thrilling opportunity to honor loved ones and share their stories while embracing the wonder and joy of life.
Rocky Point Rally
November 6–9, 2025
When the rubber hits the road, join the party. Every November, thousands converge in Puerto Peñasco for the Rocky Point Rally: four days of motorcycle parades, charity rides, and beach concerts. Now in its 25th year, this is the biggest motorcycle event in Northwest Mexico, and a treasured Rocky Point tradition. The entire town transforms into an exciting, high-energy celebration of biking, filled with visitors from across Mexico and the U.S. In 2024, more than 9,500 bikers rode through Rocky Point. The party gets pretty wild, but don’t worry: police are around to keep things safe.
Swing for a Cause

The 8th Annual Gonzo & Friends Charity Golf Tournament returns to Las Palomas Beach & Golf Resort this November. Hosted by former MLB athlete Luis “Gonzo” Gonzalez, this year’s tournament benefits 1Mission: a non-profit that helps local families earn homes through community service. The tournament features a dinner and live auction where you can bid on sports memorabilia, plus a five-person scramble tournament in which four players team up with a sports celebrity. You won’t want to miss this fun, heartwarming event centered on Las Palomas’ beautiful golf course.
Mermaid’s Artisan Market
Mid-October through May, 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month

Held at Shrimp Plaza in downtown Rocky Point, it’s the area’s longest continuously running open-air artisan’s market. Twice a month, dozens of artists and vendors gather to sell a wide range of items, including jewelry, hats, paintings, and pottery. After browsing the stalls, grab lunch from a local food vendor and cool off with a Mermaid Margarita.
