New Orleans reaches the Sea of Cortez through fusion cuisine

Imagine your beach vacation to enjoy the sea hugging the shores of Puerto Peñasco and its magnificent views is paired with the fusion flavors of Louisiana and Sonora cuisine!

New Orleans, LA is renowned for its rich culinary treasures, to the point of being considered one of the gastronomic capitals in the U.S. thanks to its Creole and Cajun cuisines, whose main ingredients feature fresh fish and seafood.

What’s more, savoring Mexican dishes is probably one of the greatest luxuries in life! If you combine this with the exquisite cuisine of Louisiana, making that trip to the beach is right on target.

From September 11th – 13th, we will fuse the best of Louisiana cuisine with ingredients from the Grand Desert of Altar as the main course in celebrating an incomparable culinary ritual in Puerto Peñasco, Sonora.

Las Palomas Beach & Golf Resort Executive Chef Francisco Javier Torres Ramos will prepare a series of dishes, such as the renowned “Louisiana shrimp”, by using fresh seafood from the Sea of Cortez including blue shrimp and crab, accompanied with chambray potatoes and corn from the region.

Dishes will be served in the area of the pool bar at the resort, and can also be picked up. You can’t miss out on this celebration of flavors!

Las Palomas Beach & Golf Resort awaits if you’re looking for a weekend adventure at a nearby beachside hotel or resort. In addition to escaping to the beach, you can delight in wonderful cuisine with the assurance of staying at a safe destination that upholds strict health measures, and is recognized by AAA as a 4-Diamond Resort.  If you are coming from Arizona, Sonora, Baja California, Southern California, or Texas, we offer a wonderful sea side option, all within comfortable driving distance.
