Las Palomas Beach & Golf Resort to Host Premium Golf Tournaments This Spring

The Ladies Cup debuts in March followed by the Amateur Players Tour in April and The Links 16th Anniversary Tournament in May

Las Palomas Beach & Golf Resort will host three premium golf tournaments this spring at The Links, a professional 18-hole, par 72 golf course – the only one in Rocky Point. The first annual Ladies Cup will take place March 18-20; the Amateur Players Tour will run April 23-24; and The Links 16th Anniversary Golf Tournament will be May 13-15.

The first-ever Ladies Cup includes a practice round and two rounds of golf, with the opportunity for golfers to win $5000 in prize money. The event will kick off with an evening welcome party on the Hole 19 Terrace on March 18. The field is limited to 100 players and registration is $250. Special rates are available for weekend stays.

“We’re excited to host this debut ladies golf event at The Links, and know this will become an important annual event for Las Palomas,” said Héctor Vázquez del Mercado, general manager of Las Palomas. “We are equally thrilled to be hosting the Amateur Players Tour again in April and celebrating the ‘sweet sixteen’ of The Links with our anniversary tournament in May. We have some great entertainment lined up and it will be a fantastic event.”

The Amateur Players Tour offers play in five different division levels for golfers from the US and Canada of similar skill level to compete for points, prizes, and an opportunity to qualify for the North American Championship. The tour is limited to 124 players and registration is just $225 to play where the pros play. Exclusive weekend rates are available for participants and guests.

The 16th Anniversary Tournament will take place May 13-15 and will tee off with a concert performance by Los Hijos de Frank on May 13. This international tournament will bring together 120 golfers from Baja California, Sonora, Chihuahua, Sinaloa, plus players from Arizona, California and Nevada. The event will include an exclusive concert performance by Benny Ibarra on May 14, and more than $10,000 in prizes will be given at an awards ceremony on May 16. A stay package for this event includes tournament registration, access to concerts and special events, awards dinner and more.
