At Las Palomas Beach & Golf Resort we are proud to be the first Resort in Sonora to receive the Safe Travels certification, which is granted by the WTTC, Word Travel & Tourism Council, through Sonora State Government to companies that establish biosafety practices and protocols aligned to global standards.

The stamp, which was developed in order to help restore confidence in travelers and work to revive an ailing Travel & Tourism sector, is now also being used by many more major holiday destinations. The specially designed stamp enables travelers to recognize destinations around the world which have adopted health and hygiene global standardized protocols – so they can experience ‘Safe Travels’.

This landmark move by WTTC also received the backing of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).

The protocols align the private sector behind common standards to ensure the safety of its workforce and travelers as the sector shifts to a new normal.
