CASA HOGAR “ESPERANZA PARA LOS NIÑOS”, IAP
Esperanza para los niños (hope for kids) is an institution constituted on February 27th 1991. A vision of a concerned group for the situation some families were living or going through due to lack of employment or drug consumption. Due to these situations the institution was created to provide support for these parents or family members and once rehabbed kids will be rejoined with them. We currently have 23 kids from different local facilities such as DIF among others that were received.

Offer love, attention and protection to kids in need. Provide food, clothing, medical attention, and schooling; preparing useful citizens both morally and physically.
Be a well-known housing for our services, capabilities and contribution to the kid’s well-being and development.
Kids between 0-12 yrs of age, both sex, low income and homeless, in the city of Puerto Peñasco, we currently have teens that were given by their parents to this institution and have been cared for since then who now form part of the staff of collaborators, supporting different working areas.
AREAS OF ATTENTION
There are three main areas we focus on with the kids and teens we receive: Assistance; Health, and Human development. Each one supported by programs with activities here in the Casa Hogar.
This area is integrated by the following programs: shelter, food, clothing and medical attention.
This area is integrated by the following programs: psychological, third level of medical attention.
This area is integrated by the following programs: academic education, special education, activities and sports.
We currently have some projects to be accomplished:
Kitchen area: change of gas lines and electrical in the kitchen equipment.
Laundry room: change gas dryers to electric, replace washer.
Transportation: in this area we have a deficiency in the transportation of kids and teens to schools. We need a larger vehicle, in better condition and more gas economical.
Yearly costs of the organization are:
Assistance expenses $970,000
Administrative expenses $200,000
Transportation expenses $170,000
Maintenance expenses $120,000
Assistance expenses cover: food, electricity, gas, schooling, medical, phone, laundry and gratifications to assistants and collaborators.
Administrative expenses cover: gratification to assistants, administrative, private meeting assistance, phone, internet, advertising, office supplies.
Transportation expenses cover: gasoline, lubrication, repairs and maintenance, vehicle insurance, tires, license plates etc.
